My great-grandfather was... different. In fact, almost everyone from his tribe was different from what my great-grandmother had known until then. His skin was darker, his eyes were black and narrow, and his head was awfully long. It seems that it was their custom to bind the heads of children to alter their shape. My great-grandmother was very surprised, but she slowly got used to it, so when my grandfather was born, she bound his head from the very first days to make him resemble his father. And I, keeping the tradition, did the same with my child.
