The corner room of the basement has been filled with debris and walled in at the end of the 1950s, when the pedestrian passage above cut through the building. During the recent restoration it was opened up and now narrates the history of the Mauksch-Hintz house. The showcase displays two coin hoards recently recovered from the basement, probably hidden by a pharmacy employee during the cholera epidemic of 1873. The interactive panel invites you to discover photographs of the building and of family members taken in the first half of the 20th century by Mrs. Ella Hintz. Part of a Roman wall can be noted below the projection screen.
