Haller Castle in Coplean is one of the most significant secular Baroque architectural edifices in Transylvania, constructed in the 1770s. The exuberant decoration of the castle's facades dates from the same period, with the stonework attributed in the specialized literature to the Cluj sculptor Anton Schuchbauer. During this period, the main facades were adorned with a mix of Baroque and numerous Rococo elements. The window cornices were alternately ornamented with laurel bud-shaped urns or Turkish heads. These Turkish heads are varied, representing personalized portraits with distinct physiognomic features.
