The Romanesque capital is cubic in shape and decorated with zoomorphic motifs carved in limestone in flat relief. It originates from the Evangelical Church in Herina, which was constructed during the 12th century or at the beginning of the following century. However, the piece itself dates back to the early 12th century, predating the current building. The capital was later repurposed as a baptismal font or a holy water basin.
