Funerary altar; place of discovery: Napoca (Cluj-Napoca); 2nd - 3rd century AD.

Funerary altar, decorated with a triangular pediment. In allocated space for the inscription, we can only see the letters D and M, beautifully engraved on the piece. The piece was probably displayed for sale, and its epitaph was to be continued after someone purchased it. There is also a possibility that it was installed inside a tomb where there already existed an inscribed monument.

Inscription: D(is) M(anibus).
