Funerary coping; place of discovery: Ampelum (Pătrângeni, Zlatna, Alba County); 2nd - 3rd century AD.
Rectangular crown decorated on all sides. The decoration on one side was later destroyed, probably due to its reuse, unless it is an unfinished piece. On the central sides, the decoration consists of two seated lions with a prominence (probably an animal's head) under their front paws. On one side, between the bodies of the two lions, there is a protome representing Medusa, and on the opposite side, a vegetal element consisting of two acanthus leaves and a poppy capsule. On the preserved side, the decoration consists of two peacocks facing each other.
