Block inscribed with the name of the 4th Flavia Felix Legion reused in a fortification wall at Sarmizegetusa Regia (Grădiștea de Munte, Hunedoara County) around the Second Dacian War.

The piece was discovered near the wall on the eastern side of the citadel, together with other blocks that had fallen from the upper rows of the outer wall. It comes from a Roman construction made between the two wars, and its re-use as a building material in the Dacian fortification wall has been attributed to the refortifications that the Dacians were carrying out before the outbreak of the Second Dacian War.

The 4th Flavia Felix Legion took part in the Dacian Wars, after which it stayed for a while on the site of the future city (colonia) Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa in the Hațeg Country, and later (probably around 108 AD) built the fortress of Berzovia (Berzovia, Caraș-Severin County). Between 101-117 AD it was involved in numerous construction activities in the new province in the present-day area of Hațeg and Banat.
