Funerary pillar; place of discovery: Napoca (Cluj-Napoca); 2nd - 3rd century AD.
The back of the piece, which was flattened, was certainly built into a wall. The upper register depicts a vine with leaves, two bunches of grapes and a few currants, the composition emerging from a bundle of acanthus leaves. In the lower register there is a kantharos from which a vine tendril similar to the one in the upper register rises.
