The central piece of a funerary aedicula, depicting the deceased: a man and a woman. The man is holding a volumen in his left hand, and a ring with an engraved stone can be noticed on his pinky finger. On his right side, tied at the waist, he has a long object – a theca calamaria. All of those details, as well as his facial expression, are the result of his wish to portray his interest for intellectual activities. The woman is holding a type of fruit in her left hand.
